Around 100 fans of powerhouse North Sudanese team Al Merreikh walked 150km to watch them in action, despite soaring temperatures and poor quality roads.

The fanatical group shirked public transport, going by foot for the 150km journey from Khartoum to Shandy in time for the match.

Unsurprisingly, a number of them sustained injuries to their feet and were tired as they reached their destination.

For the record, Al Merreikh enjoyed a 1-0 victory over Al Ahly to earn a spot in the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup.
