Australia are bracing for a forward assault from a massive New Zealand pack, which veteran Kangaroos prop Matt Scott has labelled the best to pull on the Kiwis jersey.
The Kangaroos and Kiwis clash in the first-ever Test in Perth on Saturday.
New Zealand will boast a forward pack that contains some of the NRL's biggest and most in-form players in Jesse Bromwich, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Jason Taumalolo and Martin Taupau.
It is an awesome pack for Scott to come up against in his 19th Test at nib Stadium.
"Their forward pack is probably the best we have ever seen in the Kiwis jersey," Scott said on Thursday.
"It is incredible the amount of big guys they have got that are in tremendous form at the moment.
"I think momentum is going to be the key for us.
"If we can limit the amount of quick play the balls and momentum they get particularly through their back five who I think are extremely underrated probably because of the forward pack they have got.
"If we can stop their back five momentum it just means that guys like Jase and big Jesse Bromwich aren't coming off the back fence and are getting us one-on-one."
Scott said his North Queensland teammate Taumalolo loomed as the key player for New Zealand.
"I did try and ask for a gentleman's agreement (not to run at me) before we left, I don't know how successful that was," Scott said.
""Big Jase had a tremendous year and he is one of many in the Kiwis side we are going to have to try and deal with.
""It will be a big team effort to contain these blokes and Jase is certainly an x-factor."
