The Wallabies have re-called back-rower Leroy Houston to the national squad to replace the injured Sean McMahon, ahead of the final round of the Rugby Championship against Argentina at Twickenham.
McMahon has been ruled out for up to a month following an ankle injury sustained in the 18-10 loss to the Springboks in Pretoria on Saturday (Sunday morning AEST).
Houston is already in the UK and has been playing on loan with former club Bath, with his Super Rugby club Queensland Reds allowing him to answer Bath's call for help.
The 29-year-old made an immediate impact in his return to England's Premiership, scoring a try in his first match back and being awarded the competition's player of the round.
Houston returned to Australian rugby in May to try and further his Wallabies career, following a lengthy sting with Bath. He is now set to battle it out with international rookie Lopeti Timani to wear Australia's No.8 jersey against Argentina in London on Saturday.
McMahon is the latest fitness concern for Wallabies back-row forwards, with David Pocock also unavailable due to injury.
